We are making some changes to our website.

Due to many factors including fluctuating stock availability across the industry and the sheer amount of different and varied items we stock at the garden centre, updating and maintaining the website to reflect the current availability of stock has become increasingly difficult and at times impossible. Plus we have found the current checkout procedure has become rather laborious and difficult to navigate with all the various postage and courier options needed and inevitable security levels.

So, we are going to make some changes.

We will no longer be operating an eCommerce platform from the website. The website will very soon change to an information site only with seasonal and current promotions clearly listed.

Why is that then?

This will enable us to keep the site relevant and up to date with minimum situations where an item will be `out of stock`. This unfortunately is inevitable when selling stock from the internet and from a store location when the stock is not integrated into an updating epos system.

How is that going to work?

So to simplify the whole thing we will be listing items on the website with information and the price only. Also included will be delivery options if available.

We will still be able to send some items through the post and by courier but we will be directing any potential online sales straight to the garden centre by phone or email and we can give advice, take payment and arrange delivery options within those formats. Many items can be sent or delivered much more economically than one online set price and we will be able to pass this onto the customer. Plus we will be able to indicate any current offers or promotions which inevitably change often and are sometimes not indicated on the webshop. The webshop will be updated and corrected regularly taking into account seasonal variation, promotions and availability.

So for a little while longer the website will continue as usual but soon the eCommerce will be switched off then all online sales inquiries will be through the following options:

We would like to assure all our regular customers that we will be able to send the regular items as per usual but payment will be taken over the phone.
