TOM CHAMBERS
Handcrafted quality since 1967, a proud British manufacturer for nearly 50 years, Tom Chambers consistently delivers great quality, value and innovation and are a UK leading brand in handmade, well designed and original garden products, lots of which are made here in the UK.
The majority of Tom Chambers Products are designed to allow you the joy of watching birds, their colours, behaviour and different varieties. Tom Chambers supports the Garden Bird Health Initiative which stems from the ideas of a UFAW Working Group set up to develop guidelines about how best to feed wild birds for their conservation and welfare whilst minimising disease and other risks, so you can be sure of the safety and quality of the products sold.
By providing garden birds with food you will bring them closer to you, your food could also make a huge difference to endangered species, helping them to both thrive and continue to breed successfully. Many people enjoy watching the birds, conserving their numbers and helping them to breed so they can be enjoyed for generations to come. Garden birds should be fed all year round, however during the autumn and winter months feeding is vital when naturally found food is in short supply. Feed the birds regularly and continuously throughout the year as birds quickly become dependant on your food and will visit the garden to check! #
Try to have several feeding stations around the garden to prevent overcrowding in one location. Please be aware that different birds will have different feeding habits, whilst many birds will feed from a feeder others prefer a table or a ground feeder. Position your table or feeders in an open space with clear views to all sides to minimise the risk of potential predator attack. Having said that it is popular to hang feeders on branches of trees where birds can easily access them having the shelter of the tree for safety, trees also make great hanging brackets!
Regularly clean your bird feeders to help reduce the spread of disease and the build-up of toxins. We sell products to help you do this and you will also find accessories and linked products whilst you shop to ensure you can collect everything you might need to keep your garden birds happy and healthy in one place.
On the 22nd February 2017 Tom Chambers celebrated 50 years of manufacturing in Great Britain, a far cry from their humble beginnings they now operate from a 50,000 square foot modern factory in Yorkshire.
