Agave stricta 'Nana' - Dwarf Hedgehog Agave
Agave stricta 'Nana' - Dwarf Hedgehog Agave A must have for all you Agave lovers out there. This rare little Agave makes a perfect dome of leaves which eventually will form clumps. Hardy in very dry conditions outside or under cover. Terracotta pot not included but we can supply if you require for an extra £1.50.  About me!: Agave stricta 'Nana' (Dwarf Hedgehog Agave) - A small agave that grows slowly to form symmetrical rosettes 6 to 10 inches tall and wide of narrow pale green spine-tipped leaves with tiny teeth along the margins that are more rough than sharp to the touch. With time new offsets form at the base from short rhizomes to create attractive tightly packed colonies. Occasionally a rosette will flower with a tall, sometimes crooked stalk, rising well above the foliage in late summer. Place in full to part sun in a well-drained soil. This attractive small agave came to us many years ago from the collection of Stockton succulent collector Alice Waidhoffer. It has remained much smaller than the standard form of Agave stricta.

LITHOPS LIVING STONES (The Window Plant)
Lithops  WINDOW PLANT  Commonly known as 'living stones', because in their natural habitat they have evolved to mimic the stones and pebbles which often litter the ground where they grow. The reason they have developed this ability to look like stones is as a disguise to hide themselves from predators that would be happy to eat them! This plant is called a window plant as in the world it can be submerged under the sand and the little windows at the top collect the light. How cool is that? Easy to grow, they can make an intriguing plant for all ages being very low-maintenance - simply position on a sunny window sill and water occassionally. This quirky succulent also looks great in a pot on a patio table in the summer.
