Rosa

Fall in love with roses this summer and have a summer romance that will last for years!

Roses are an all time favourite. They have become a signature plant for the way we garden in this country and are synonymous with beauty and perfection. Plus there is an amazing diversity of roses for different locations throughout the garden to choose from. The modern rose could be a climber, rambler, floribunda, ground cover, shrub, hybrid or rugosa, but there’s also a fabulous range of Old Garden roses too.

Rose breeders have been so dedicated to their craft that over the years a huge selection has emerged. The flower forms of roses are exquisite, from the simply perfect flat, open, usually single flowers to the more fulsome rosette-shaped blooms or the lush rounded and high-centred flowers.

The rose family must be unbeatable when it comes to the stunning colour range they have to offer. You will find roses of many different shades and colours – from the whole spectrum of deep reds and crimsons to lush or soft pinks. Or if it’s sunny yellows and crisp whites you are after, the choice is vast and exciting.

Perfect for a mid-year pep-up, visit us for roses that are blooming gorgeous right now or just about to flower. The main flowering times are summer to autumn - so there will be plenty of choice on offer. If you’ve got some space on the patio, terrace or balcony or on the driveway at the entrance to your home, what about picking up one of the roses that love container-growing for instant results?

If you’re planting for an occasion there are roses named after everything including the Royal Family, such as ‘Queen Mother’ and ‘Queen Elizabeth’ or wonderful intentions such as ‘Freedom’ or ‘Peace’. There’s Rosa ‘Congratulations’ and ‘Many Happy Returns’ if you are buying a gift, or for sadder occasions Rosa ‘Loving Memory’.

There are lots of options which are fully hardy, so wherever you are you can enjoy a rose. Plus the joy of their repeat flowering qualities year after year make them a superb investment for the garden.
