About Us
The West Somerset Garden Centre is a traditional independent garden centre for the discerning gardener, situated only 22 miles from Taunton. It was created in the late 1970's from a business specialising in forestry and landscaping. We had a few plants left over from a landscaping job and decided to pot them up and see if they would sell! They did and so we potted a few more! The garden centre was born and we expanded into a 8ft x 6ft summerhouse and took £100 in one day.
We now however have a much larger shop being over 6000 square feet, with a newly erected covered area. We still have a landscaping team who have an excellent reputation locally carrying out work such as decking, patios, water features and planting schemes. All designs and works are carried out by our own staff. All of the staff in our garden centre have a good knowledge of gardening and garden products each specialising in their own field, you can be assured of helpful honest advice.
